Customer's Question

I ran your Photo Recovery application and was able to preview almost all of the pictures when the scan was occurring. I also saw that a bunch of files have been created in my users/<myusername>/Recovered directory.
But when I try to open the files in this directory, Mac OS says I can't open or preview the files because they are corrupt. The files in my users/<myusername>/Recovered directory seem the right size. But when I can't preview it and can't import it into iPhoto - it tells me file format unrecognized. All the files are named ImageXXX.jpg.
What's going on? Thanks,

Answer:

Make sure that the software has been activated and they are not still running in demo mode. This can cause the images that are saved to be non-usable as the program is still in demo mode.
Restart the application and then see if it asks to be activated. If so, then go through the activation process and make sure that the camera card is not attached to the system while doing this.

Once the activation is done, reinsert the card and restart the Photo Recovery and try again.

Customer's Response:

Thanks, you were right. Got back 99 percent of my files.
