What is removable media? I have not recovered a single photo from my computer's hard drive.

Please help me! I have just spent almost 77 dollars with
you and I have not recovered a single photo from my
computer's hard drive. How do I work it? It can't seem to
find anything. It seems to be only able to see the programme
itself and appears to think this is the hard drive. All it
sees if your little icons which come with the programme.
What is 'removable media'?? I am no computer nerd, but
surely there must be some way of making this easier to
understand?? What does this programme actually do? All I
wanted to do was recover the deleted files from my hard
drive.

Hello-
Which software are you using and what scan options are you selecting? The Photo Recovery for Mac and Photo Recovery for Windows software are not
compatible with computer's hard drive scanning and recovery. Photo Recovery is designed for removable digital media like USB, Flash, Compact Flash Cards, Cameras, SD Card, etc.
but not including hard disk drives. You need download File Recovery for Mac or Data Recovery for Windows to scan hard disks and
recover files.
