We were trying to recover photoshop documents and they have been retrieved as psp documents and cannot open.

Hello-
Have you tried renaming the file type? In cases where there is some
overlap in file definitions, this may happen.
If not, please let me know how big these files are so I can arrange for
you to send a sample for us to look at and see what may be happening.
